In anticipation of the company’s next flagship Meizu 17 in the spring, it will be recalled that this will be Meizu’s first phone to support fifth-generation networks. Unlike smartphones on the market so far, Meizu 17 will be equipped with the latest top chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and X55 5G modem. X55 5G supports both modes NSA (non-standalone) and SA (standalone).

Let’s also remember that Meizu is one of the few smartphone manufacturers that has its own research laboratory. The total investment in it is more than 100 million yuan (over 14.5 million dollars). The laboratory is certified by the National Accreditation Assessment Service of China (CNAS).

Yesterday, Meizu’s vice president Hua Hailiang showed off one of the new acquisitions in the lab. This wireless 5G emulation testing and debugging platform costs about 5 million yuan.
