The Flyme user interface celebrates its 8th birthday

Today Flyme turned 8 years old. The soul of Meizu’s mobile phones, as many fans call the Flyme, features a beautiful design and easy-to-use features.

The first version of the user interface, Flyme 1.0, was released on June 25, 2012. Followed by Flyme 2.0 on November 27, 2012, Flyme 3.0 on September 2, 2013, Flyme 4.0 on September 2, 2014, Flyme 5.0 on September 23, 2015, Flyme 6.0 on November 30, 2016, Flyme 7.0 on April 22, 2018 and Flyme 8.0 on August 28, 2019.

Yesterday, the company announced that in the last quarter of the year we will see the first Meizu smartwatch with a specially designed Flyme for Watch.

Recall that in August 2016, the company launched the hybrid watch Meizu MIX. This is a luxury classic watch with a Swiss movement, but equipped with some smart features such as step tracker, phone calls/messages notifications, find the phone, etc., available through the Meizu Watch application.

In addition, Meizu has its own experience in the production of fitness bracelets, such as Meizu H1 SmartBand, introduced in early December 2016.

However, few know that in 2015 Meizu made its first steps in building the so-called smart home. You come home from work and open curtains are waiting for you, lights on, quiet pleasant music, purified and air-conditioned air… and this thanks to the Meizu LifeKit House platform, in collaboration with Haier, Alibaba, Bong, RyFit – compatible gadgets such as smart bulb, digital scales, purifier and humidifier, smart air conditioner, fitness bracelet, etc.

In any case, this idea remained virtually unfinished. However, it is certain that in the second half of the year there will be new smart products with which Meizu will expand its ecosystem in the field of smart home and wearable gadgets.
