Meizu 18 5G series and Flyme 9 will be presented on March 2 and 3 at conferences in Zhuhai

Yesterday morning, Meizu published a photo of a curtain that was to be raised today at 10a.m. Chinese time. And yes, we were pleasantly surprised this morning.

First, the Meizu 18 5G series will be unveiled earlier than expected. This will take place on March 3 at the Zhuhai Grand Theater. Second, the new version of the Flyme 9 user interface will be presented. This will happen a day earlier, on March 2, also at the Grand Theater. On March 1, a retrospective of the company’s development will be made, which this year celebrates its 18th birthday.

Meizu 18th anniversary Flyme 9

Meizu will reveal to us what the B side of the industry is. Industry doesn’t have to have just one side, Meizu will show us the other. What is it like not to blindly follow the imposed trends. That consumer requirements should not be changed by the rules of industry’s commercialization. If you do not follow the crowd, you will be more recognizable and without limits.

According to preliminary data, Meizu 18 5G series must be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 mobile platform. These days, however, rumors have surfaced on the Chinese Weibo social network that Meizu 18 will be with Snapdragon 870. The selfie camera will be located in a centered hole in the display, and the rear camera will be triple 64MP+12MP+5MP. It will be pre-installed with Flyme 8.3 based on Android 11.

If these speculations turn out to be true, it means that this time the differences between Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro will be greater than the differences between the two models of last year’s flagship Meizu 17 series. And this will lead to a significantly more affordable price of the cheaper Meizu 18 model.

We will find out in a little over a week. But surely every day until the presentation new details will come out about the long-awaited Meizu 18 5G series.
