Meizu enters the smart home field with a new brand Lipro

Yesterday, the Meizu Technology building dawned with a sign reading “Lipro”, and a new official Weibo profile of the company was created. This led to speculations that turned out to be true – this morning the inscription “Lipro” in the profile was supplemented with “Smart Home”.

Today, Meizu sent out official invitations for a conference to present a new product, which will be held on January 5, 2021. The company’s new brand will expand its business in the smart home field, and the first product will most likely be related to lighting. Let’s not forget, however, that Meizu entered the smart home segment in 2015 through the Meizu LifeKit House platform, in collaboration with technology giants such as Haier, Alibaba, Bong, RyFit and others.

Meizu Lipro invitation letter

The invitation letter is made of acrylic material with the engraved inscription “Lipro”. In addition, at the back of the envelope is printed “Inspired by J.Wong”, which shows that the founder of Meizu, Huang Zhang, was at the heart of the creation of Lipro and participated in the design and development of new products, and we all know that he is an outstanding product manager.

As for the name Lipro, we will soon find out what exactly is behind it. But most likely it’s an acronym for Life and Pro, as the idea of the smart home is to improve our lifestyle.
