The presentation of Meizu’s new products will take place on March 30 at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai. The company pointed out that this will be the most spectacular conference in its 20-year history.

Yesterday, a conference was held at which the creation of Xingji Meizu Group was announced, formed by the merger of Xingji Shidai Technology and Meizu Technology, and headquartered in Wuhan. The CEO of Xingji Meizu Group is Shen Ziyu, who is also the CEO of Yikatong Technology.

Meizu’s logo was also rumored to change a while ago, as the company patented a new logo design, and yesterday it was officially confirmed. The new logo is a combination of graphic (MZ) and letter image in two colors – red and black.

What do we know so far about the long-awaited Meizu 20 flagship series? Most of the new phones’ features are already clear.

The Meizu 20 series is equipped with the leading mobile platform Snapdragon 8 Gen2, UFS 4.0 and LPDDR5X, and in addition OneMind 10.0. The good cooling is ensured by the large heat dissipation area, which is 56% more than that of the Meizu 18 series.

The Meizu 20 series is equipped with a straight 10-bit 144 FPS gaming screen with 1.07 billion colors and a centrally punched hole for the selfie camera. The bezels are extremely narrow and visually equal in width, with the narrowest bezel being 1.57mm.

The main camera is 50MP 1/1.56″, equipped with a new generation SMA optical image stabilization, DarkVision 2.0 extreme night scene enhancement and all-pixel autofocus technology, with the focusing speed increased by 33% compared to Meizu 18s.

The new ultrasonic fingerprint sensor 2.0 achieves super fast unlocking in just 0.075s, even with a wet hand. Finally, a Meizu smartphone is equipped with an infrared blaster for remote control of appliances in the smart home.

The Meizu 20 series comes with Flyme charging optimization and an improvement to the industry standard of 800 days. The company guarantees that the battery can withstand up to 1,600 charge and discharge cycles while retaining more than 80% of its capacity.

The Meizu 20 series will debut with a new generation of Flyme 10 infinite ecosystem with multi-terminal and multi-scenario integration. The company has invested more than 100 million yuan in optimization, and the system stability has increased 10 times. Flyme magic storage master is responsible for smooth reading and writing, through AI intelligent sorting of file pieces.

Some of the Flyme 10 new features are: FlymeSound Classic – Meizu’s self-developed sound enhancement algorithm and classic tuning; earthquake early warning function; Game Mode 6.0.

Meizu recently announced its collaboration with Chinese search giant Baidu, whose chatbot Wenxin Yiyan (Ernie Bot in English) will be integrated into Flyme to achieve an immersive multi-terminal and multi-scenario experience. Wenxin Yiyan’s official presentation is scheduled for March 16.

The Meizu 20 series is equipped with 13 high-energy antennas, with 20 technical tuning solutions, guaranteeing a good signal everywhere. The two fifth generation super linear speakers are 30% more productive than those of the previous generation.

The Meizu 20 Pro is sure to come with a 2K 120Hz LTPO AMOLED Samsung E6 display with 1800 nits peak brightness, a 5000mAh battery and 50W Super Wireless mCharge support. Also, the Pro version is equipped with UWB (Ultra Wideband) technology, the first CCC3.0 standard UWB function for a car key in China.
