There is already talk of Flyme 8. According to some sources, Jack Wong has confirmed the upcoming upgrade of the Meizu user interface. However, no date is mentioned, nor what will be new in the system, but it will be on Android Pie. Considering that the presentation of the next flagship series is expected in the spring – Meizu 16s and 16s Plus, it can be assumed that then we will see Flyme 8.
Jack Wong also confirmed that the company is working on a performance-focused gaming phone, but not necessarily with flagship hardware parameters. Its name has not yet been announced, but it will be either Meizu 16G (G from Game) or Meizu 16T (T from Turbo) and will be equipped with the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset.
Meizu Note 9 with Snapdragon 675, 48MP rear camera, 4000mAh battery and a water drop notch display is also expected to be released soon. According to Jack Wong, this will be the only phone with a notch display this year.
