Huang Zhang mentioned in Luo Zhenyu’s New Year’s speech

Luo Zhenyu is one of the most influential media personalities in China and the founder of the paid content application DeDao – a knowledge sharing platform. Since its launch in November 2015. DeDao quickly captures the attention and money of millions of people and is one of the fastest growing services in China and Southeast Asia. The application provides users for a fee a library of popular books and quality podcasts (audio or video files) with transcripts.

Luo Zhenyu promised to deliver a speech for each New Year for 20 years. In his speeches, Zhenyu spoke of entrepreneurs, global investors, economists and novice enthusiasts. His speech in 2018. had over 11 million views online.

His fourth speech this year was again followed with great interest. This time the focus was on Meizu’s founder Huang Zhang (fourth from left to right in the photo). He was given as an example as a person who did not graduate from university but was successful, as are the others on the screen. Huang Zhang was born in 1976. He has not attended college, but has been passionate about electronics since he was a child.

Second from left to right is the richest man in Singapore – billionaire Zhang Yong (45). He owns the Haidilao Hotpot restaurant chain and has also not completed his university education as he has not been satisfied with traditional training. He acquired his knowledge of the world in the library.
