This morning, Meizu officially unveiled its third flagship for 2019, Meizu 16T, as well as four new accessories.
Meizu 16s was released in April, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 mobile platform. In August, we saw Meizu 16s Pro with the Snapdragon 855 Plus. The new Meizu 16T again has a Snapdragon 855 SoC, but is focused on gaming enthusiasts. For its development, Meizu collaborated with the Chinese giant Tencent – the world’s largest investor and publisher of games.
Meizu 16T comes in three versions, depending on the amount of RAM and internal storage space, as the prices announced for the Chinese market are respectively:
• 6GB/128GB – 1999 yuan (~$285)
• 8GB/128GB – 2299 yuan (~$325)
• 8GB/256GB – 2499 yuan (~$355)
Its pre-sale starts today and will be available from October 28. In addition, the owners of Meizu 16T will be among the first to receive the stable version of Flyme 8.
Today, the company also introduced the world’s first sonic electric toothbrush with anti-splash technology. That is, Meizu’s new oral accessory prevents toothpaste from slipping off the head, which is commonly seen with most other offerings, including the Philips 9 series, which is one of the best-selling electric toothbrushes in China. In addition, the brush has a degree of water resistance IPX7.
At the conference in Beijing we also saw the new bluetooth headphones Meizu HD60 – successor to the Meizu HD50 from 2015. HD60 have Hi-Res certification, cVc noise reduction technology and aptX codec, support voice commands and Bluetooth 5.0. They also have a USB Type-C port for audio connection via cable.
For avid fans of the company were presented two types of blouses – a T-shirt with laser printing of the Flyme 8 logo, reflecting different colors in different light, and a sweatshirt with a hood made of high quality cotton and the Pandaer logo, made in combination with three-dimensional high-density embroidery, patches and environmentally friendly offset printing.
