So far, Meizu has not officially announced news about the Meizu 19 series of mobile phones, but on May 13 the Chinese Patent Office (CNIPA) published the company’s patent application number CN114500803A. The application refers to the design of the camera module.
The two patented designs for new Meizu phones have very different layouts. The word Pro is present in both appearance options, so it probably refers to the Meizu 19 Pro.
The first rear camera module adopts a vertical arrangement with a stepped design. From the photo it seems that the camera will be quadruple and with a ring-shaped flash surrounding the 3D depth detector.
The other variant of the camera module is a horizontal matrix showing the four cameras in a square distribution. Here, the ring flash surrounds one of the larger diameter sensors. There is a large sign on the right side of the camera module.
The horizontal design option of the camera module suggests that it is possible to have a second auxiliary display on the back. This will not be a precedent for the company. Let us recall that the flagship phones Meizu PRO 7 and Meizu PRO 7 Plus presented in July 2017 had two displays. For its beautiful appearance, developed jointly by Meizu and Frog, Meizu PRO 7 was awarded the prestigious iF DESIGN AWARD 2018.
