In October 2021. Sony and Meizu have achieved a long-term cooperation. Both companies have combined Sony’s hardware and Flyme’s software ecology along with the native Android operating system. Initially, the Xperia 1 III integrated the App Store, Email, Weather and News. This was liked by the majority of users and the collaboration between Sony and Meizu continued to focus on adapting more Flyme applications.

In their Weibo profile, Sony China wrote that Meizu Flyme is a leading customized system based on Android, with nearly 10 years of development and over 100 million loyal fans. The Flyme firmware has a deep understanding of the needs of local users and will provide a better experience for Xperia series mobile phone owners.
