The Meizu 17 series includes the company’s two first flagship smartphones for this year – Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro. They come with a very good hardware and software configuration. Both phones are equipped with Super AMOLED displays from Samsung with a 90Hz refresh rate.
Today, the company serves a big surprise to consumers. Just three days after the conference at which the smartphones were presented, Meizu announced that it will release an OTA update, which will increase the frequency to 120Hz.
Many fans have expressed doubts that this will happen through overclocking, as developers have increased the frequency of the Redmi K30 Pro from 60Hz to 80Hz through unofficial software play. Meizu officials have denied that this will be done through overclocking, as the higher refresh rate is supported by the hardware itself.
