In 2019, Meizu marked 10 years since it manufactured smartphones and on March 14, 2020, it will be 17 years old. This will be marked by the upcoming 17th series, which will begin the 5G era for Meizu.

Meizu MX5 Guangzhou Evergrande FC limited edition
In August 2015 came the Meizu MX5 Guangzhou Evergrande limited series. Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao FC is a Chinese football team and leader in the Chinese Super League with which the company partnered.
The edition has the logo of the football club on the back and is available in golden color. For this purpose, a special theme has been developed that enhances the feeling of using a limited series. The box of the smartphone is red, also with the team logo. The set also includes a red Guangzhou Evergrande FC shirt.
There are two more models of the limited edition Meizu MX5. One includes a scarf with the Guangzhou Evergrande FC logo and the other includes the Meizu EP-21HD headphones.
Meizu M3E Star Trek Special Edition
In early September 2016, a limited series of Meizu M3E smartphones was released in China, inspired by the movie “Star Trek: Beyond”. A launcher with personalized wallpapers and icons has also been developed here. The case and back of the phone are in tune with the film. Even the SIM card tray eject pin is made especially with the inscription Star Trek and a Starfleet badge cut in it, which is added in the set.
Meizu E2 Transformers Special Edition
In June 2017, the company also announced a limited series of Meizu E2 Transformers, in connection with the upcoming movie “Transformers: The Last Knight”. And this version of the Meizu E2 comes with a Transformers-themed box and logo on the back of the phone, charger and SIM card eject pin, as well as specially designed themes, wallpapers and ringtones.
Meizu Minion Yellow power bank
In July 2017, a special series of Meizu Minions M20 Power Bank 10000mAh was released, dedicated to the movie “Despicable Me 3”. The design of the external battery is inspired by the little yellow creatures, popular all over the world. The yellow color and large eyes characteristic of these animated characters come to life on the body of the battery and the box. The set also includes a practical case in the shape of a jumpsuit, as worn by the characters in the film.
Meizu M6 Note One Piece special edition
Meizu M6 Note also received a special edition at the end of September 2017. “One Piece” is a popular Japanese comic book series that follows the life of a young pirate.
The limited edition is in red with yellow accents, also with specially designed themes. The box is themed. The set includes a hard case and an external Meizu 10000mAh battery, all in the style of a comic book. Even the cable and charger are red and labeled “One Piece” and the SIM card eject pin is yellow with the pirate mark engraved on it. The sign is also printed on the back of the phone and its antennas are yellow.
Meizu E3 J-20 Edition
In March 2018, the Meizu E3 also acquired a different limited series, named after the J-20 fighter used by the Chinese Air Force. There are some great graphics on the back of the phone. The Meizu E3 J-20 is also available in a box with a special design, a themed hard case, a memorial card and a SIM eject pin with a fighter printed on it.
Meizu 16 Plus Sound Color
In February 2019, the special Meizu 16th Plus Sound Color combo package was announced, in collaboration with Astel & Kern and Jerry Harvey Audio. It includes Meizu 16 Plus Aurora Blue 8GB/128GB, an Astell & Kern XB10 DAC+AMP and a pair of Astell & Kern Billie Jean headphones using Jerry Harvey Audio’s freqphase technology.
