The flagships of major mobile phone manufacturers have already debuted for the first half of the year, including the latest Meizu 17 series, which was officially unveiled in early May. The AnTuTu site published the rankings for May by performance, popularity among users and efficiency (price/performance ratio) of Android phones. The data were collected from 1 to 31 May 2020. and are limited to the Chinese market only. The rating system is based on AnTuTu 8th version, which is not comparable to AnTuTu V7.
Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro found a place in two of the three rating categories. Meizu’s first smartphones this year have all the qualities to be called flagships to mark the company’s 17th anniversary. In addition, the two collector’s editions, Meizu 17 Pro Hsiao Fang Pottery Art Collector’s Edition and Meizu 17 Aircraft Carrier Limited Edition, add extra elegance and uniqueness.
Although the Meizu 17 series was introduced well after the competitors’ phones, it turned out that this did not prevent it from winning the sympathy of consumers. It is the popularity chart topped by Meizu 17 Pro. It is equipped with Snapdragon 865 + LPDDR5 + UFS 3.1, 30W fast charging and 27W wireless charging, 129° ultra wide angle lens, 120Hz screen refresh rate and more.
Meizu smartphone topped another ranking – for efficiency in the price range 1500-1999 yuan. Meizu 16T is the latest model released last year from the Meizu 16 series. Although many 5G mobile phones have reached this price point, the performance of 16T with its flagship chipset is definitely better than that of mid-range phones with 5G SoC. Meizu 16T continues the classic and recognizable design of the 16 series with an almost frameless symmetrical screen, equipped with Snapdragon 855 and UFS 3.0 flash memory, average rating 436142, large 4500mAh battery and 18W fast charging.
Meizu 17 ranked 4th in efficiency in the price range of 3000-4499 yuan.
