On October 20, Meizu released a new generation of true wireless Bluetooth earphones – POP2s. Meizu POP2s retain the style of the previous generation POP2, with a compact body and even lighter – only 5.1 grams each.
The shape of the headphones also deserves a lot of attention. Inspired by the harmony of the golden section (golden proportion), the spiral design of Meizu POP2s makes them perfectly fit to the eardrum and they will not fall even during intense fitness exercises. It also effectively reduces sound leakage.
It is worth mentioning that POP2s were the first Meizu headphones to support Flyme. Pairing with the phone (Android 10 compatible models only) is quick and easy through the pop-up window that appears when you open the headset storage and charging box.
POP2s True Wireless support dual host synchronous transmission – both the left and right earphones are “master” and can be used independently. You don’t have to think about which one to take if you have an incoming call. Each of them can be the “main” and create the main bluetooth connection, unlike the single host, where the “master” is only the left.
Meizu POP2s use a 6mm two-composite diaphragm with a sufficiently wide sound field representation and optimized sound quality adjustment from Meizu acoustics, as well as an algorithm to reduce ambient noise in the microphone during a call.
POP2s TWS have a touch button to control music playback, answer incoming calls and wake up the Aicy/Siri voice assistant. They are fully compatible with Android and iOS.
The earphones have a battery life of up to 6 hours on their own and up to 24 hours, together with the storage box, which is fully charged in about 2 hours. Meizu POP2s use USB-C interface, Bluetooth 5.0 chip with low latency and have IPX5 water resistance.
